GreyStone linemen compete at Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo

GreyStone Power linemen attended the 2024 Georgia Lineman’s Rodeo held on May 4 at Camp John Hope in Fort Valley, Georgia. The annual competition is a demonstration of apprentice linemen and journeymen linemen competing for recognition and practicing their skills and knowledge on the field.

The journeyman team of Hunter Ramsey, Tony Brown, John Atcheson and Coach Clyde Hatfield finished second in Mystery Event #2. They also won fourth place overall.

The journeyman team of Sam Albright, Matt Williams and his son, Bryce Williams, and coach Pat Albright, who is Sam’s father, finished third place in Mystery Event #1. Matt and Bryce climbed, while Sam was the groundman.

Participating apprentices included Cody Rainey, Jake Rangel, Peyton Thorpe, Jacob Shaneyfelt, Corbitt Cimadevilla, T. J. Robinson, Walker Meadows, Levi Odom, Dalton Titus, Micah Ashton, Hunter Williams, Justin Wilburn, Vincent Faison, Maverick Hering, Brady Austin, Grant Willoughby, Tucker Tidwell,Tyler Jensen, Avery Wilkes, Will Copelan, Landon Aiken and Aaron Golden.

Other journeyman teams included Bryce Wrenn, Jacob Brumbelow and Dylan Miller with coaching from Charlie Camp; Jarred Stevens, Jay Postell and Kevin Cargle with coaching from Jared Childers.

Chris Dilbeck, Josh Adams, Bradly Lopez, Andrew Shirley and Damon Galloway served as judges, while Jeremiah Hodge and Kyle Newberry served as coaches.
