The GreyStone Power Foundation, Inc. is built upon the strength of GreyStone’s members volunteering to round up their electric bills to the next dollar to provide monetary assistance for nonprofit organizations. It makes a tremendous difference in the lives of those who need help in our community. If you would like to participate in Operation Round Up, the Foundation’s fundraising arm, simply check the “Yes” box on your power bill statement.
Signing up will cost you approximately $6 annually, yet those few dollars added together with those contributed by more than 25,000 other cooperative members who have signed up make a tremendous impact in the lives of others. Every month your electric bill will be literally “rounded up” to the nearest dollar. For example, if your bill was $76.75, your bill would be rounded up to $77 with 25 cents going to Operation Round Up. Individually the funds contributed to Operation Round Up do not total a staggering amount; however, collectively they can go a long way in providing severely needed funds to nonprofit organizations in our community. Since the program's inception in 1998, GreyStone members have given more than $5.7 million to help their neighbors by rounding up their power bills to the next dollar.
