GreyStone Power reopening to members by appointment

In response to the threat posed by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, GreyStone Power closed its headquarters to the public in mid-March and directed a significant number of GreyStone employees to work from home. These actions were taken out of an abundance of caution, and with an overwhelming desire to protect the health and welfare of the co-op’s employees and members against the threat posed by COVID-19.

Although the pandemic has not subsided, GreyStone’s leadership believes that with the guidance provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on reopening businesses, it is prudent for GreyStone to begin to resume some operations on a phased-in basis. The co-op will continue to be guided by the advice of our local and state public health authorities.

GreyStone will reopen its headquarters to the public with stringent modifications designed to protect our members and employees. All members are highly encouraged to conduct GreyStone business through our self-service options if possible, such as through our website, payment app or over the phone. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our walk-in representatives will serve visitors to our office by appointment only beginning on Monday, July 13; no one will be seen without an appointment. GreyStone will protect the health of its workforce and has taken numerous steps to safeguard the health of our employees and their families. These steps include extra measures that all employees and visitors will be expected to adhere to for the duration of the pandemic. We will continue to follow social distancing recommendations and encourage all employees and members to wear masks inside our building. Depending on the pandemic risk level, wearing a mask may be required upon entry to the building. If you do not have a mask, one will be provided to you.

Enhanced cleaning protocols, especially on high-touch surfaces, have been implemented since the start of the pandemic. The co-op also secured additional supplies of masks, hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.

Throughout the pandemic, GreyStone has been focused on safely delivering reliable and affordable electric service to our members. We appreciate the flexibility and resilience of our members and workforce as we adapt to unprecedented times.
